a trauma-informed vision for the future of our communities
On Purpose Trauma-informed Care (OPTIC) is a nonprofit organization established in 2021 as a critical response to the rising mental health crisis facing our communities and the lack of resources that are currently available. OPTIC was formed with the understanding that as we educate our community members on how to manage toxic stress and unresolved trauma, we will begin to support each other and heal collectively to rebuild our communities from the hearts out.
The mission of OPTIC is to rebuild healthy communities by providing education, training and resources to our community members and healthcare professionals.
